Weekend and evening support by arrangement

Unity Aid provides eight areas of in-home support. Most people start with one or two and add others as they become useful, rather than taking the whole list.
Showering and personal hygiene, dressing and grooming, toileting and continence support, mobility, daily routines, and meal support.
General cleaning, laundry, bed linen changes, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, tidying and household tasks, and assistance with shopping.
Companionship, social outings, shopping trips, appointments, visiting friends or family, cultural and community activities, and hobbies.
Medical appointments, shopping, community activities, social visits, and other essential local travel.
Preparing simple meals, heating meals, grocery lists, dietary preferences, and encouraging regular meals and hydration.
In-home respite, support while family carers take a break, daytime support with evenings and weekends by arrangement, and flexible short-term assistance.
Continence products, toileting support, personal hygiene, and monitoring and reporting concerns to the appropriate person.
Light home maintenance, basic gardening coordination, assistance organising household services, and safety checks and reporting concerns.
Our team is here to listen, answer your questions and work out what would actually help at home. A phone call is often the quickest way to start.
How Unity Aid works, which matters more than what we list. These eight points shape how a worker turns up and how the support is run.
/001
The client remains at the centre of every decision.
/002
Services are based on individual routines and preferences.
/003
Support workers are matched carefully.
/004
Families are kept informed with the client’s consent.
/005
Small, consistent support teams are prioritised.
/006
Cultural background, language and personal history are respected.
/007
Support can be adjusted as needs change.
/008
Staff report changes in wellbeing or safety promptly.

If one of these fits, for you or for someone you are referring, we can help. If none of them quite does, ask anyway. It is a short conversation.

Six steps, and the last one keeps happening. Support is reviewed rather than set and forgotten.
