Respectful Support for Veterans and Their Families

Consistent workers, familiar routines, and time taken to listen.

Unity Aid is committed to providing reliable, dignified and person-centred support to veterans, war widows and their families.

What We Can Discuss

Every veteran’s situation is different, and so is the support that fits it.

Please contact our team to discuss available veteran support services, eligibility and current service arrangements.

What We Provide

Four Areas of Veteran Support

Unity Aid provides four areas of support for veterans, war widows and their families. What suits one household rarely suits the next, so each one is arranged around the person receiving it.

In-Home Personal Support

Day-to-day help, at home, from someone consistent.

Personal care, assistance with daily routines, mobility support, meal assistance, and continence assistance.

Domestic Assistance

The household jobs, kept on top of, without any fuss.

Cleaning, laundry, bed linen changes, shopping assistance, and basic household tasks.

Social Support

Company and connection, which for many veterans is the part that matters most.

Companionship, community outings, appointments, shopping, and social connection.

Respite Support

A break for the family carer, without disrupting the routine.

In-home respite, support for family carers, and scheduled short-term assistance.

Referrals

Who Can Make a Referral

A referral can come from any of these, including from you. Most reach us from a health professional or a discharge planner, but a family member is just as welcome.

Veteran Enquiry

Tell Us What You Need

Three short steps. The first step alone is enough for us to call you back.

Your card type and number help us understand what may be available. They are stored securely, used only to arrange support, and you can leave them blank and give them on the phone instead.

A referral, a discharge summary, or anything else that helps. PDF, DOC or an image, up to 5MB. It can also follow by email.
