Helpful tips

  1. Set realistic goals
    • Start small and achievable
    • Celebrate successes
  2. Accept help when needed
    • Independence doesn’t mean doing everything alone
  3. Practice life skills
    • Cook, clean, manage money
    • Practice strengthens ability
  4. Look after your mental health
    • Meditation, light exercise, or talking to a friend or counsellor
  5. Join community activities
    • Local groups or classes increase belonging and confidence
  6. Celebrate small wins
    • Recognize every achievement, even small ones
